Project Summary: To meet the challenges of 21st century classroom instruction and scholarship, the College undertook a major renovation of the three-story, 21,000 square foot Humanities building in 2014. It reopened in January 2015 as Karp Hall. The building is home to nearly 40 faculty and staff members in the departments of English and Modern Languages and Literatures. Karp Hall has become an interdisciplinary hub of higher learning for the entire campus. The creative use of formal and informal spaces allows for greater academic engagement within the humanities and across disciplines and offers a dynamic environment for teaching, learning and scholarly pursuits.
