The Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (HRUMC) is set to take place April 5, 2025 on Union College’s campus. HRUMC is a one-day conference held annually since its inception in 1994. This regional event encourages undergraduate students to engage in the mathematical community. The conference offers a full day of research talks, featuring both undergraduate and faculty speakers and will include a keynote address by a renowned mathematical scientist. Topics covered range widely and include, but are not limited to, abstract algebra, analysis, data science, graph theory, and statistics.

HRUMC provides a welcoming and supportive environment for all students across mathematics and related fields, with the goal of inspiring students at all levels to recognize their value within the mathematical sciences and motivate them to continue in their studies in the field. The conference provides a platform for students to engage with peers and faculty from across a range of institutions, foster connections, and gain insights into different mathematical communities. Students attending the conference are encouraged to present their research, building necessary skills for the future. Additionally, HRUMC promotes professional development through activities that focus on graduate education, career opportunities, and enhancing community engagement in mathematics.

Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY) will host the conference in 2026 and Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY) will host in 2027.
