Federal legislation has extended cancellation benefits, removing the constraint that previously denied specific cancellation benefits on loans received before July 23, 1992.
Effective October 1, 1998, the beginning date of eligibility benefits are extended to these full-time professionals regardless of the date their loan was received.
Remember: A cancellation period consists of a full year of employment. A cancellation/postponement form must be submitted each year.
