Cause Award Loans:
Deferments can be granted one semester at a time or on a yearly basis while you are enrolled for at least half-time course load. While deferred, interest does not accrue on the loan.
All Other Institutional Loans with Union College:
Deferments can be granted one semester at a time or on a yearly basis while you are enrolled for at least a half-time course load. While deferred, interest does not accrue on the loan.
Applying for School Deferment:
Acceptance requires certification of your enrollment status by the Registrar’s office at the school you are attending. An official verification of enrollment from your institution is also acceptable. Deferments can be granted one semester at a time or on a yearly basis while you are enrolled for at least a half-time course load. While deferred, interest does not accrue on the loan.
Economic Hardship Deferments:
Short-term deferments can be granted to assist borrowers through periods of temporary economic difficulty. Eligibility is determined by the Student Loan Representative.
