New Viewing Stations Now Available!

Schaffer Library welcomes Union College community members to use our two new viewing stations. These are located on the first floor of the Library, at the end of the Service Desk and opposite the first floor restrooms.

Each viewing station is equipped with a TV which can accommodate the use of a Roku stick (available for checkout at the Library Service Desk) and a computer with a DVD drive for use with the Library’s DVD collection. A policy governing the use of these viewing stations is posted on the wall behind them and detailed below. To view DVDs apart from the Viewing Stations, visit the Library Service Desk to check out external disc drives which may be used at Library computers or with personal devices.

1. Union College community members needing to view visual material related to courses will be prioritized at these stations. Community members or those using these stations for other purposes may be asked to move to a different workstation.

2. Each viewing station can accommodate up to two users. Groups larger than two will be asked to move. For larger group viewing options, please consult the Library Service Desk.

3. Users are required to wear headphones while using the viewing stations. Headphones are available for checkout at the Library Service Desk.

4. Please be respectful of viewing station space and equipment.
