Viewing Station Policy
Schaffer Library has two viewing stations available on the first floor of the Library. These are equipped with TVs which can accommodate the use of a Roku stick (available for checkout at the Library Service Desk) and computers with a DVD drive for use with the Library’s DVD collection. External disc drives are also available for checkout at the Library Service Desk for use at Library computers or with personal devices.
Please review the below policies and consult Library employees at the Library Service Desk with questions.
- Union College community members needing to view visual material related to courses will be prioritized at these stations. Community members or those using these stations for other purposes may be asked to move to a different workstation.
- Each viewing station can accommodate up to two users. Groups larger than two will be asked to move. For larger group viewing options, please consult the Library Service Desk.
- Users are required to wear headphones while using the viewing stations. Headphones are available for checkout at the Library Service Desk.
- Please be respectful of viewing station space and equipment.
- Union College community members needing to view visual material related to courses will be prioritized at these stations. Community members or those using these stations for other purposes may be asked to move to a different workstation.
